ShowBiz allows you to specify promotional codes for __'''TICKETS '''__sales. In order to use promotional codes, you need to do the following: 1.) From the ShowBiz main screen, go to the web modules manager by clicking the "Web Mods" button.<br /> 2.) On the left of the screen should be a list of various categories, one of which should be "Promotional Codes".<br /> 3.) If You cannot see Promotional Codes it is probably because it hasn't been activated for your Show. Please contact ShowBiz support to get this activated.<br /> 4.) Click on the promotional codes category to open the promo codes manager.<br /> 5.) Click "Add" to create a promotional code. The Promo code details window will appear.<br /> 6.) Fill in all of the details for the promo code. These are:<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>a.) Show = The show that the Promo code applies to.<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>b.) Label = The name of the item being sold, e.g. "Country Life Magazine Promotional Ticket"<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>c.) Unique Code = The code people have to type in online to get the item at the promotional rate.<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>d.) The date range that the item should be available online for.<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>e.) Basket limit = the number of purchases of the item that can be made in one go.<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>f.) Address limit = the limit per household.<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>g.) Total online availability = The total number of the promo item available online.<br /> 7.) Next, you need to add a least one item to be sold online. To do this click Add and the Promo Code Item details window will appear.<br /> 8.) Fill in this window, the fields are:<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>a.) Module, the module to within ShowBiz to which the item applies. This is usually "General"<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>b.) The item name, e.g. "Country Life Magazine Promotional Ticket"<br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>c.) The item description, e.g. "Discount tickets available to readers of Country Life Magazine." <br /> <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>d.) The accounts details for the item.<br /> 9.) Click Save when done.<br /> 10.) Click Save again to return back to the web modules manager.<br /> 11.) Click "Publish" to put the promo code online.<br /> <br /> The tickets section of your web modules will now be selling the promotional item.
