Add a Stock Rule

''Stock rules enable related stock items to be automatically added when the main stock item is purchased. For Example when an entry is made into a HOYs Class, the HOYs Levy can be automatically added.''




1. Select 'Utilities' in the toolbar at the top of the screen and scroll down to Stock> Stock Rules. You will be presented with the screen shown below:

2. Press 'Add' underneath the rule box which will bring up a new screen called 'Entry Linked Purchases'

3. Type in the rule name in the bar at the top of the page and tick the classes you want to add the rule for in the center box. (Note: To open up all the options for a category select the + sign beside the tick box).

4. To input the stock item and quantity information in box 2 press 'Add' below the box.

5. You will be presented with a new small screen titled 'Stock Rule Select Item'

6. In the drop down bar next to 'Module' scroll down to select the required option

7. Select the Item in the next drop down bar or to input a new item press the small + button at the right of the bar

8. Input the quantity in the final box and press OK

9. You will now be taken back to the previous screen which will now show the information you just entered in box 2. 

10. Press Save and you will be taken back to the original screen which will now display the rule.
