Assign Prize/Trophy Winners, i.e. Recording Competition Results

Overview

This guide describes how to assign prize winners to classes in ShowBiz (record results).

Find The Class and Assign Absentees (Mark Number Forward)

1. In the main ShowBiz application select Tasks from the toolbar at the top of the screen and scroll down to Record Prizes & Forwards. You will be presented with a window titled Prizes and Forwards OR In the web modules manager, if you go to to the Schedule & Results feature, there is a "Record Prizes & Forwards" button on the bottom right of the screen.

2. Enter the class number into the box beside `No.` at the top of the page then click the `Find` tab. The system will perform a search and the first matching class will be returned in the drop down box under `Select a Class`

Tip: If you can't find the class you're looking for - check it's not cancelled by using the main Sched/Cat screen and going into the Class Details.

3. Check that this is the correct class. Drop down and select a different class if necessary

4. Under absentees (which is already selected in the toolbar) you can either choose to select `Mark Absentees` and tick the animals not forward for the class or `Mark Number Forward` and enter the number forward for the class in the box.

Assign The Winners

1. Select the `Prizes and Trophies` tab

2. Click the `Quick Assign` button below the table shown in the bottom half of the page, which will display a new window.

3. Drag the winners from the `Quick Assign` box on to the prizes they have won in the table in the Prizes & Forwards page. Note: If the winners are not present, at the bottom of the `Quick Assign` table are 4 options- `Class`, `Section`, `Header` and `All For Entry Form` which enable you to broaden your search for entrant. These show all entrants, from either the current class, current section, current header or all for the current entry form (particularly useful when assigning winners for special or champion classes for which you do not know the entrants until Show day).

Assigning multiple Winners to the same prize

1. Go to the “Record and Report on Prizes & Forwards” screen as normal

2. Select the Class

3. Click the Prizes & Trophies tab

4. Click the “Edit Class” button near the bottom-right

5. In the Class Details screen, click the “Details” tab

6. Add duplicate Prizes (e.g. 1st twice, with the same money, points, levy etc.)

7. Save and refresh the Prizes list by searching again
